Hati Tayo / Selected personal project
Making shared-venture
finances easier to follow.
A personal project I built to bring partner contributions, expenses, income, and settlement breakdowns into a shared-venture ledger.

Shared money needs a shared picture.
Putting capital together is one part of a venture. Understanding each person’s position becomes more involved when partners contribute different amounts, pay expenses personally, receive income, and take payouts along the way.
I built Hati Tayo as a common ledger for those records. Its public beta is presented for ventures with 2–10 partners, connecting everyday record keeping with the eventual settlement.
From contributions to a settlement.
- Establish the venture: record the asset basis, partners, and capital contributions.
- Follow the money: keep expenses, income, security deposits, and partner payouts in distinct workflows.
- Review each partner’s position: inspect capital shares, reimbursements, prior payouts, and the settlement breakdown.
- Bring partners into the process: use invitations, an activity view, and CSV/PDF reporting controls to support shared review.
Business rules made visible.
Who paid an expense matters.
The interface distinguishes owner-paid expenses from costs paid using venture funds. This makes reimbursement a visible part of the partner breakdown, alongside the share of the venture itself.
A deposit is not automatically income.
Deposit workflows distinguish amounts that are held, returned, or applied. The product presents applied amounts separately from refundable funds when describing income and partner splitting.
A payout is part of a longer history.
Partner payout views bring calculated entitlement, expense reimbursement, earlier payouts, and the remaining amount together. The workflow is designed to make those components inspectable before closing a venture.
Connect the records to the final breakdown.
Venture summaries and partner breakdowns provide the overview. An activity interface presents changes with before-and-after values, while settlement-report and export controls bring totals and the underlying ledgers into a reviewable form.
This project adds a business-software dimension to my portfolio: translating the moving parts of a shared financial workflow into explicit records and product interactions.
